I was attracted to the company by Executive management’s support for IT progress and initiatives, as well as the dedicated staff. Since being here, I’ve greatly enjoyed my role in developing the systems and services currently utilized. The best part of my functional role is the ability to assist with technical problem-solving, solution design and implementation efforts which facilitate data collection, data management, reporting and distribution.

I initially started as a Dispatcher and then moved on to Shipping/Receiving and then got promoted into the Warehouse Supervisor role where I am now. The opportunity was there and I took advantage of it.

The best part of my day is when I arrive and meet with the 3rd shift to discuss any issues or concerns with overnight activities. I’m responsible for the warehouse as a whole, so immediately afterwards I jumpstart conversations with the 1st shift to help get things into gear. I believe in starting early with a positive outlook and attitude which sets the tone for everyone else as we strive to have a productive and safe day.

I was drawn to the company because of the fact that it was a corrugated/paper company and I had experience in the industry, especially the graphics/printing end.

I serve in a support role for the National Accounts Sales Staff. There are so many components and steps to take a project from inception to actual order, the days are never dull. The department needed someone full time to be fully involved in every project. The Sales people travel and are still required to work on multiple projects. I’m the constant in the department who carries the ball in their absence and I work hard to keep that ball in the air.

Since being here, I’ve met some really great people. I feel that I’ve found a place where I can grow professionally and enjoy working until I’m ready for retirement.

I came here after the candy company I worked for closed down. A friend told me they were hiring. I’m used to working hard and I like to come to work and make the company goals. This job has taught me to work with my co-workers on all levels. Things don’t always work right, but, I enjoy it when it does. I brought other people into the company on my recommendation because I feel this is a good place to work.

I’ve recently been promoted to Pricing Manager where I recommend and set our product price points. I have to constantly stay abreast of the market so we’re competitive and profitable. I’m excited about my new role.

When I interviewed here 14 years ago, the company was fairly small and the family-oriented atmosphere had a big impact on my decision to work here. We’ve grown tremendously, but it’s still family-oriented – although now with many different types of personalities which can sometimes be a challenge due to the different ideas and perspectives. At the end of the day, we make sure we meet the customer’s goals and objectives. Keeping that family-oriented “essence” is what makes this place special.

Initially, I came here because I needed a job and this was close to my house and the schedule worked for my life. Then I found that I really enjoyed the interaction with my co-workers. We laugh and talk about quality and a variety of issues.

I am proud to be a member of the LBP/Terrace Paper family. The fact that I am packing cartons that are in stores everywhere, for a company like McDonald’s, makes me really proud. It’s weird, but I find myself checking the quality of cartons at restaurants when I take my family out to eat.

This company has been a big help financially, but, it’s important to say that it’s been a very good experience being able to interact with different cultures, while having a steady job and providing for the needs of my family.
