Chicago, IL (July 2005) – LBP Manufacturing, maker of the popular Coffee Clutch® brand hot cup sleeve, introduces a new line of custom-printable clamshell packaging products. Available in ten sizes, clamshells can be used to serve a variety of takeout items: smaller packages fit single items like hamburgers and pizza slices, while larger pieces can be used to transport full-sized meals.
Clamshells are the best way to preserve the appearance and temperature of takeout food items, and the new LBP program allows restaurants to purchase branded clamshells in 1 or 2 colors with as few as 25,000 pieces. “Branding their takeout packaging is the best thing that foodservice operators can do to build name recognition. Our new clamshell line gives even small operators the opportunity to enhance their brand,” stated Bob Pasquella, National Sales Director.
All of the clamshells are lined with LBP’s exclusive C500 grease barrier, which keeps spots from appearing on the inside of the clamshell package—perfect for the flawless presentation of upscale takeout items. Each of the LBP clamshells features a patent-pending side-lock closure that secures food items inside while preserving the temperature of the food. Unlike foam and plastic containers, paper clamshells allow steam to escape, so hot food stays warm without getting soggy.
The LBP stock clamshells are white with a natural kraft interior. Other combinations of board color will be available in the future along with a range of stock designs for general unbranded use.
